reduced power mode "NO SES" ?

reduced power mode "NO SES" ?
2000 VETTE LS1 auto/
car starts normally everytime. with scanner connected all systems are within normal range in "open loop" mode. the car warms up and goes into closed loop mode, maybe 4-8 minutes running, the coolant temp maxes the oil pressure hits 0 , the fuel gauge hits E , and the headlights go on. REDUCED POWER mode or limp home mode has engaged..but NO SES. NO CODES and the pcm triggers a loss of comunication with the scanner so i can't see what systems are being affected ...What Gives???? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

The first problem you have is using a scanner. Unless you have a Tech 2 or equivalent scanner the scanner can only provide powertrain codes. Use the On Board Diagnostics displayed on the DIC so you can see codes from all the subsystems on the car (Push and hold the options button while pushing the fuel button 4 times). There are chassis codes that will cause a reduced engine power response.
