Default Mod Fever -

Okay....if you own a vette then we all have the FEVER right? But......when do you say enough is enough? Who has said done, kaputz, finished, all over, enough and please not more and why?

I believe I am "almost done." I'm more into the "Look than the Go" so I think I only have to jump on the Vette Essential Bandwagon for new skins and steering wheel to call it quits but who knows.

I've never given myself the 'I'm done' mantra, but I did take 1-2 years off without any mods, then I re-entered 'the game'...so to speak.

Only way I quit modding my C5 was when I sold it. When I get my next Vette, it will start all over again.

I would have to honestly say that I've gone about as far as I plan to go. Now - I'm in maintenance mode, and as things wear out or fail, I will replace the parts with something new and better. Example: I have to replace the brake master cylinder resevoir - so while I'm doing that and as long as I have to bleed the brakes anyway - I'll install a set of Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines and a set of speed bleeders....does that qualify as a mod?

Every time I get the urge for a new Vette, I just do some more mods and that keeps me satisfied for another year. 17 more days she will be 11.

If quitting is possible and someone finds a way out please let me know!!! It seems no matter how deep I go into the modding there is still that hunger.

I "finished" my car last March.

Then 2 weeks ago, I finished it again with a blue LED HVAC from Tim ↑

I know I'm done because my car is:

1. Reliable
2. Fast as I want it to be
3. Looks how I want, couldn't really want more, nor do I.
4. Is totally mine --- anytime anyone who knows me sees it... they know it's mine
5. I abso-freakin-lutely love it.... Just the way it is.

I decided to keep the engine side pretty much stock. Its bad enough finding a Tech who can work even a stock Vette here in England.

Mind you I've still added a few things over the years
