Default Battery Tender Plus

I finally got my battery full charged and the Battery Tender hard-wired a few days ago. I took the car out today for about a 20 minute drive. When I got home I reconnected the Battery Tender. It has been several hours and the green light is still flashing. Is this common that I lost that much of a charge on a brief run?

Yes, that is normal. Daily driving does not keep the battery 100% charged. My Battery Tender does the exact seems thing on all of my cars.

Starting out with a full charge, you shouldn't have lost any juice. I don't have the Tender Plus, just a couple of the Battery Tenders, and when red they're charging, green is charged.

FYI ....

Red - When the Red light is on, the battery charger is in the process of fully
charging the battery. In order to properly charge large capacity batteries, the charger
may remain in this mode for several hours or even days.

GREEN FLASHING - When the green light is flashing, and the red light is on, the
battery is greater than 80% charged and may be removed from the charger and used if
necessary. Leave the battery on charge until the green light is solid whenever
possible. Once the green light begins to flash, it will remain flashing until either the
battery charger output current drops below 0.1 amp, or until 6 hours has elapsed.

GREEN - When the green light is lit, the battery charger is in the storage mode of
charge. In this mode the charger will maintain the battery at full charge.

Any pics of it hard wired? Are you just talking about the connector is now connected to your battery and you just plug it in to the tender which sits next to the car?

I have aftermarket battery posts with outward connections. I wired the positive to the pos battery cable, and the negative to the negative battery ground where it meets the frame. Then ran a line across and under the cowl, and routed the connection between the fender and hood. Now I don't even have to open the hood to connect the tender.

Even if you were to disconnect the charger for a couple of minutes and then reconnect it (car not driven), the green light would flash for a while. It's normal...
