the import guys will say they could mod the car to beat the vette.. so how would you like to compare... ?? lets go stock vs. stock Vette dominates .. on an even scale vette would ALWAYS win .. if you spend 5k or 10k on both cars .. vette wins .. the lil' guy with a chip on his shoulder deserves a smack down ..

IMO there would be nothing worse than being behind the back end of a fart can and not being able to pass...but some of these kids are putting out some pretty fast cars with four bangers...Some of them can blow off stock Vettes so don't knock them...

For the first 60 feet or so then the Corvette will fly past, and that's if the corvette doesn't have traction, if it hooks up it will hang right with it.
After the launches these cars really don't have much, the AWD really makes the 0-60 and 1/4 times look really fast, but once you get rolling they are not that fast.
I know highly modded ones can be very fast, but anything can be fast if you put money into it.
Cool cars though, I got to drive a friends around town all day yesterday. Such a cool feeling going around off ramps knowing the back end won't brake loose. Would love to have one for a DD.

Haha, some of you guys are funny. Evo's and STI's are no joke in the right hands. They handle extremely well, and on a tight course they would take it to a stock C5. They also don't magically blow up with 20lbs of boost, most of these factory turbo cars are setup with forged internals. Whoever said that they have nothing after the first 60ft, not true. Maybe when they are bone stock, but I have seen on numerous occasions Subbies/Evo's beat C5's and C6's from a roll.

You have to compare apples to apples. Some of you keep saying a modded ______ can beat a stock c5 anyday.....well no ****. If you really want to compare....slap a turbo on the C5 and push 20 psi of boost through it while the EVO has 20 psi also. Get the point?
