Freaky door lock problem

So I stopped at a nice location today to take a few pics of my car and left the motor running, and after about the third or fourth time I moved the car and got out, I took a picture and then tried to open the drivers door and it was locked, car still running. I panicked of course as I was out in the middle of nowhere.
While planning a strategy, duh, I walked to the passenger side just in case and it was unlocked. How did that happen? Why did the drivers door lock and not the passenger side?
Lucky me.

Maybe you pushed your door open with your elbow and bumped the manual lock. I've done it a couple times and you definitely panic but like you I've been lucky enough to have left the pass door open.

Yeah probably just pushed the button on your way out. Just thank your lucky stars the passenger side was open. BTW where are the picks?

I agree its very easy to accidentally hit the lock on the door. You were very lucky to have had the passenger door unlocked.
