Favorite color:
Spiral Grey or Black - Spiral Grey is awesome, but I went with black since it is a DD and if you have to repaint a panel (as I have several times now) - black is a cheap/easy color match since there is no metallic blending to fight with. If they ever pull all the rock throwers (pickups/SUVs, etc.) off the streets here, I would go with Spiral Grey.
My Favs:
Spiral Grey or Black
Dark-Med Metallic Red
Not Favs, but still good choices:
White (easiest to keep clean IMO)
Red (except the new dark flat red)
Blue
I like Navy blue with Black interior, Then Yellow w/black, Silver with Black and then White with black.
I think the color you want kind of depends on how you want to see your car... Black or Mod Red interiors convey a racy appearance, light oak, grey and shale interiors give any color more of a luxury/GT feel.
But like others have said, it's all about what you like. For instance, I HATE seeing anything chrome on C5s -- and their are plenty of people that thing chrome wheels absolutely "make" the car. And the best thing is, everyone is right!
TRIPLE BLACK, Haven't bought any vehicle two wheeled or four other than BLACK since 1984, it's an adiction that I love. Currently have 5 black vehicles and a white company car, go figure.

....I made the "change" to black in 1990 with this car...Sold it in 2001 when I bought my first Corvette (99 Coupe)
I now own everything in this pic with the exception of the black GMC 4x4...which was my DD for 11 years..(1993-2004)
My DD since 2004 has been this....NO MORE BLACK DDs!!!
I also have a white "company car"
