Default Window tint question

Just got my '02 Z06 2 weeks ago and want to tint the windows.Just wondering about the band of dots at the top of the back glass. Does the tint contour to these or will I see a clear spot at every dot? Where I live you pretty much need tinted windows in the summer. Thanks in advance.

First of all find someone who really knows what they are doing. The dots have to be sanded down, then have a strip of black vinal (sp) place over where the dots were. after that tint as usual.

If this is not done it will look like ****.

That makes sense. It will look like the black band around the back glass just a little wider at the top. Thanks!

not to criticize the poster, but the dots do not have to be sanded down. the reason to sand the dots down is allow tint to stick. use the black vinyl and you do not have to do this. just press the vinyl into the dots really well and apply heat through the glass with a hairdryer/heat gun and you shouldn't even see any air pockets. if there are any bubbles, you can use a pin or razor blade to pierce the pocket and your finger to press out the air.

does anybody make a perfect black vinyl piece? if not, where would you get some black vinyl from and what would you use to make it stick?
