POLL: Do you like D-Type Steering Wheel??
We are more active on C6 forum and rarely come to C5 forum so you may not be familiar with us yet.
Lately we introduce our beautiful Carbon D-Type Steering Wheel for C6 and get excellent response. We also get inquiry from some C5 customers.
We are thinking to make the D-Type Steering Wheel for C5 but we are not sure if C5 customers will be interested so we would like to run this poll. We like to hear your feedback.
The D-Type Steering Wheel is very sporty and more and more high end European sport cars are using it. Because we have to invest expensive mold then we use it to convert the stock C5 steering wheel to the sporty D-Type Steering Wheel, if we don't feel optimistic demand then it won't pay us to go for it.
The standard spec is---- Carbon on the top, left & right is perforated alcantara and bottom is solid alcantara.
If you like to have regular black leather instead of alcantara, we can make it for you too. If you don't want the carbon, we can make the whole wheel in alcantara or leather.
Since we don't have D-Type Steering Wheel for C5 yet, so we can only use the C6 D-type Steering Wheel to show you the concept.
Because C5 steering wheel has 4 spoke, so it will still have the 4 spoke but the bottom will be horizontal to ground so it will look like "D" shape. Please use some imagination.
Here are some C6 D-Type Steering Wheel pictures for your reference. Please let us know your opinions.

I would have gone with a Momo wheel, but wanted to keep my airbag.
Good luck, nice product.

That one looks too stock for my taste. Its not a big enough change to the stock wheel to justify $1000 price tag plus the cost of fitting.
I've seen nicer steering wheels offered as concepts here on the Forum that would have made me switch. JMHO
Plus smaller diameter but that's not going to happen just recovering the stocker.
Our original site was built for wholesale purpose and that's why we don't post prices on purpose.
However, we are working on a new site that will be linked together with our existing site to have all price info and can accept online order. But it's still under construction. When it's done we will announce it on forum.
