I already voted in the C5 forum, but ++; on making it smaller if possible. D-shaped is good!
I'm curious of the real-life experiences with Alcantara durability on steering wheels.
Like will this fade in the sun?
How's it hold up to sweaty-hands, does stretch and tear easily?
On C6 forum some customers say nothing is like the feeling of alcantara. I never use alcantara steering wheel yet so I can't comment on that. Hope some customers can share their experience.
I like the idea. I'd prefer all leather, D-shape or round doesn't matter, cut outs for thumbs-yes, three spokes from C6 would be cool, stock diameter is fine for me, too.
If you could make a C5 wheel designed around the stock airbag for around $350-$400, I'm in. I would like to see a thicker ring with thumb grips, black leather w/carbon fiber, D-style and maybe a little smaller in overall diameter. There are only 2 or 3 options out there at present so I think demand would be good. I have a Vette Essentials wrapped wheel now which is nothing more than a stocked wrapped wheel with better leather and custom color choice.

It's impossible for us to do the price that you are expecting. Tooling cost is too expensive.
With carbon top section, $999 + core charge $250
Without carbon, $795 + core charge $250
Lets see what you can come up with - even at the higher price - if the quality is top notch and the diameter is smaller, you will sell all that you can produce.

If you can make it smaller diameter, thicker grip, and if possible three spoke. I think a lot of people will pay $795.
Honestly if it wasn't for the airbag, I'd replace the stock wheel in a heartbeat.
While on this topic: can anyone find pictures of the back side of a C5 steering wheel vs the back side of a C6 steering wheel? I think the items of concern would be the spline count and diameter of the steering shaft. If there are differences, it may be possible to cut out the center section of the C5 wheel and weld it into a C6 wheel. Could even cut and reweld the steering shaft. Just a thought to entertain....

Quality is definitely THE BEST ON THE MARKET. Attached is the link to our thread posted on C6 forum. Please check it out the customer's report. Or you can go to our Customers' Testimonials to read those comments. Once you read through them you will understand what kind of products you expect to get from us.
When you come to Apsis, quality is not an issue. You will get what you pay for. We will always have problem for our price to many customers. We understand that but not much we can do about it. We insist on quality.

We will evaluate all the possibilities. To make a smaller diameter wheel, we have to invest complete new mold to be able to make the steering wheel. It can be done but we are not sure if we can sell enough pcs to offset our tooling cost. We will see what we can do.
