Well, my B&M is in and its a nice upgrade. Shifts are positive and not very hard to get into gear. I cant believe the piece of garbage that was in there actually worked.... in comparing the 2, the B&M is light years ahead of the China made POS. I have been driving the car more often lately and man, what a pleasure. I'm sure you MGW buyers will be pleased as well, but theres nothing wrong with the B&M either. I havent noticed any rattle or noise from it either.
I have the B&M in my car and don't have any problems with banging gears. I've also done some extensive "lubing" of the mechanical linkage from the shifter to the trans as well as the anti-venom mod. I would still like to try an MGW shifter though to see if there is a difference... but I'm not going to sell my B&M or pay $175 to do so

I went from a Hurst that buzzes under a hard load to the B&M, which has a little rubber in it and the buzzing went away, the shift length seems to be the same, though it is a little more rubbery, and doesn't have the postive throw stops built in.
Any comparrisons between the B&M ripper, and the MGW?
I'm happy with the move from the Hurst, I'm no drag racer, should I try an MGW?
still waiting on mine as well. Ordered it on 12/12/08. I have talked to them a number of times and they said they are waiting on the vendor. I have heard so many good things about it that I will wait it out.

I am seriously thinking about ordering the MGW shifter...presently running the B&M Ripper.Have you guys received your shifters yet?If so do they have the shifters in stock now?
Just replaced my B&M sport shifter with the MGW in my 02 C5Z. The MGW is way smoother than the B&M, and worth every penny. I would'nt bother looking at any other shifter.
I drove forum member and good friend BillY2KFRC's 2003 Z06 with an MGW. My first words we're "WOW this is short and tight(sounds like how every guy's dream woman is lol)! Very crisp, firm shifts. No issues at all with any gear selection and speed shifting was effortless.
At some point I will get one. Probably after the new head unit goes in. My old rule of thumb "WAS" "Get the performance stuff FIRST, THEN do little doo da's".
Actually, mine does rattle when I drive it really hard. I can live with it but I thought I'd just put that out there. My only other complaint is that the **** gets super hot from the Florida heat (even with a windshield shade). I've had it for a while now and I can't remember what the stock one was like. I just remember that I loved it when I installed it.

I like the way it feels, but it buzzes for me even with relatively minor load on the engine. I can usually live with it, and it's an intermittent thing. The part that really bugged me was the threaded area was too short for my delrin ****. Still working on getting a longer threaded rod for it.
