Im one to say that most people that tell you "no" are the internet racers and all they know is what they read here or on some other forum. Go ahead and ask everyone here that said "Dont do it" and see how many of them actually have run a spacer and had a legitimate problem out of them. I had a set of 3/8 spacers on my 650 rwhp KB Cobra on the stock IRS and never once had a problem. I even bolted slicks to it and launhed it at the drag strip. Never had any problems. People will tell you that the Hubcentric spacers are safer. They very well may be but in my experience with using plain old wheel spacers on high HP cars then I will tell you to go for it. Im doing it on the Vette and it makes 550 to the wheels on spray.

I have the spacers like posted above and have no problem with them. I'll be putting out 1000rwhp soon as well.

Like they say, “opinions are like...” Well you get the idea. Go with the facts. Wheel spacers and adapters are used in high H.P dirt, road and drag cars without issue. As I understand it, get pieces that are hubcentric on both sides and size your studs accordingly. If your spacer needs to be 1" or greater, go with wheel adapters, not spacers. In either event, the quality of the parts is critical to safety - just as is in any high performance related equipment. Check racing forums and web sites and you’ll find dozens of qualified opinions and experiences by people that race with them. Not by people that dont know what they are talking about. Google is your friend.

If you need a source for double hubcentric adapters or spacers, PM me for a link. I found an outfit that has about any width you would ever need, and cheap. Many forum members use them from this link and without issue.
