I wouldnt, ...........but if you did, they would have to be the hub centric type,........... in which you are given the spacer hub unit and a set of low profile lug nuts.

The spacer unit is installed with the lug nuts and then you put the wheel on as normal (because the spacer unit has a complete set of lug bolts to mount the wheel)

Get the set that is approved by the German Engineering group TUV........H and R is the manufacturer,..........the German stuff is the best.

Even with the best spacer set up,.........that kind of HP is going to be a major strain on even the best of breed in spacers.

Wheel spacers are never a good idea on any wheel set up.

With all the wheel vendors at our disposal and the many withs, offsets etc. There is no reason to install the weak link of a spacer and risk failure and damage either to you or the car.

A wheel adapter plate with hardened lug bolts would be a better option or wheels with the correct offset if you are racing.

Thats one of my problems, I already have a set of $5k wheels, and the rear would look so much better about 1/2" wider on each side, and also I have the big brake kit and I wanted the widest lip that you could get on C5 wheels,

I saw a company that had harden longer studs and then they sold like a 5/8" spacer that had a hub centric desgin just for the C5, but now I cant find them.

Do you guys think this would be ok?

Pfadt racing sells some nice spacers and studs.

Unless the rims you have are one piece, you can send them back and have the offsets changed to fit your needs.

That is what I run.

Hardened ARP Studs that are 3" long, and a CCW 3/8" spacer. Then open ended hardened lug nuts from NAPA.

wheels are CCW Classic 18x13" without the spacer they would rub the inside of the wheel well.

Also have 3/4" fender flairs to cover the tires.

with that much hp you need the harded bolts, and may be some HKE race bearings to hold up to the tq

Good Luck

Pfadt provides a great engineering analysis of spacers and wheel stud strength. I definitely would go to a high strength stud ( ARP ) or similar if you are going to run the spacer. For street applications, your tires during a burn out are going to be the ( breakable link ). Loosing traction takes the major amount of force off the driveline, the problem is going to be the forces exerted on studs and other drive line parts getting to that point where the tires spin.

No I sold it my buddy Jason "NVTHIS" so that he could back together his Z06. Josh "PACETHIS" came up and picked up the car.

They're down in your neck of the woods Piedmont, SC.

Jason should have a lot of parts if you need any.

Tony

but mine have to go, I have all types of corvette stuff, I might sell my wheels and get some more, These I have are Asanti's 3 piece Forged Wheels, 19x9.5 fronts and 20x11.5 rear they clear the six piston calipers in the frt and the 4 piston rears, 99.9 percent of the people would love them I just wanted them to come out alittle more, I mean they are perfect really, they are even with the edge of the finder and thats what they say you want, the tires and wheels only have about 650 miles on them, tires are PS2's 325-25-20 rears & 285-35-19 fronts. I have got over $6,500 in them, Let people no about them, please, Thanks Mike
