Wondering about those G Meter things you plug in your cigarette lighter that tell you g's and 0-60 times etc... do these really work and if so does anyone here have one? I was thinking about getting one but don't really know anything about them.
I've got the original G-Tech Pro. Haven't used it in a few years. If you want it, $10 shipped. Complete with suction mount, car cord, and orginal User's Manual.

I've never tried one myself, but for $10 I'd give it a try. If you want to sell it give me a PM with your info.
I have a parameters display on the AVIC Nav kit. It doesn't give true G but it'll read out lateral acceleration. can't say I've ever had the need to look at it. I'd say if you really pushed it you might register 2G. Even the F1 cars only make 3-4G
In a fighter we used the G meter to get the max performance for a manoeuver and to make sure we didn't overstress the airframe. That would be tough in a Vette
Maybe the track guys have a use for one of these but I can't see it. JMHO.
