Default C5 Storage tray

Ok in my C6 I had a so called storage try that I got from WWC but personally it bit. I’ve seen in an add some where for a storage tray that fits behind the hump and runs the with of the car and has I believe 3 sections. Has anyone else seen this tray and who has it?

For $170 I'll let stuff slide around. Great idea though. Needs some competition.

this isn't the one I have seen before but it is nice & I agree $170 is pricy but it pisses me off when I reach back for my sun glasses and they are at the friggen back of the car.

I think this might be what you had in mind and is less costly.

I have the same storage tray. I got some of the same carpet like the interior of my car and put it and placed in the compartments so items would not slide around.

I have the Southern Car Parts one, minus the emblem. It is super lightweight, holds two cups and I got covers for my compartments (only use 1 cover).

Works great, was cheaper a few years ago.

I have a 2000. I think the earlier C5's had the little storage areas in the door handles. I would like to have those.

I bought mine with the partition from Southern car parts. It is a good piece and the only way I will carry a drink in the car with me. Having those deep drink holders is a nice feature.

I will say this if you ride with the windows down be careful about what you place in the bins. I have had CDs fly out at highway speeds.

Just bought my '99 coupe. No door storage in it and believe me, I've gone through every inch of the interior hoping to find more storage. The bins in the very back are nice for long term storage but not practical for the daily stuff you carry around. Like George Carlin said - ya gotta have a place to put your stuff. Right now I'm using a black soft sided 7" x 7" x 8" CD carrying case for storage. Great for keeping a couple CDs as well as phone, sunglasses, etc.

Chip,

Do you have any instructions on how to make your own for $20.00? What materials you used and where to find them?
