Default 243 Z06 vs regular 243 heads ??

I just bought a set of New 243 heads off a crate motor LS6. How can you tell if the valves are the sodium filled or regular valves?? It does have the yellow springs if that helps?

Thanks for the help

if they came of a LS6 motor they are the titanium intake valves and sodium exhuast valves. If the heads came off an LS2 motor they are Stainless Steel valves

YEs the Yellow springs are the LS6 heads

I just bought a new set of LS2 heads from SDPC. They came with yellow springs.

The LS6 did not use titanium valves.

They are hollow stem stainless valves...the intake valves were kept hollow, the exhaust valves were filled with potassium/sodium to better absorb the more intense heat that valve is exposed to.

...............now what about those 2001 LS6 heads

to the OP, I do NOT have the answer, although I would start by looking at the date code on the heads
