What are some ways i can help cool my Z? Besides buying expensive parts. Is there any air restrictive parts i take off to allow more air flow into the engine bay?

Heres what I did for a few weeks after getting the Maggie installed, it stayed much cooler then, and didnt cost me a dime and actually dropped a little weight too.

Ok it might not have been all legal, but then again here in Tennessee for two weeks during the summer they never said anything...

not really as those parts under there are designed to direct airflow up into the radiator..

that being said pull your airbridge and radiator shroud...seperate the radiator and condensor and clean the radiator fins good that should help tremendously. A good tool that is cheap is sold at Home Depot...dryer vent brush...long brush on a stick. That and a good stream of water.

Clean out your radiator.

Then on the driver side vent, behind the front wheel, there are some plastic parts that can be taken out. This will allow more air to exit the engine bay.

on the right side there are too many things in the way.

Now this will also make the engine very very dirty too.

Not sure what temperatures you are running, but do remember that LSx engines run on the hot side for several reasons. To ensure you are running at optimum temps do the following:

Check your radiator and condensor for trash.

Check your air-dam.

Change your coolant if it is 5 years old or not DEXCOOL.

......and then depending on your definition of expensive, purchase the fan controller available just about anywhere.

If you are worried about heat, get a diff thermostat and fan controller or tune for fan setting. Maybe someone in your area has a handheld that they would let you adjust fans with? thermos are abotu $50 on these I think. But need both done to cool. An earlier thermo, and same fans, will not drop temperature when in traffic.

Good points. Checking the radiator area might just reveal a lot of junk up there - the C5 acts as a vacuum cleaner going down the road.
