How heavy of a shift **** can you use on your corvette? I was thinking of making a custom **** out of brass, but think it may be to heavy. If it is too heavy what problems could it cause?

I think the weight would impact how smoothly you would be able to shift. I like a nice solid feel as well........but I would be careful about how much weight you would use.

Actually, a lot of folks add weight to the MN6 to help quiet down some noisy aftermarket shifters. Also, there is a company that sells a billet SS **** for the C5.
