I carry the portable Kobalt co2 regulator with a 20oz canister. Light weight and compact. and refillable on the road. And I can do a little trim work on the side if I need to. They sell them at Lowes for like $90. Great littte tool.

Then again I've heard the same concerns from using the aerosol "Fix a flat" cans too.

I had one that I carried on my Bultaco Matador enduro bike. Used it and a can of "Fix a Flat" quite a few times in places that your only concern was getting the tire up so you could get back to the trailer.
