Z06 kit for me also,
I would have a hard time using the air out of a good tire, What if you have a good size leak and it don't fill up right away? 2 flat tires?
Just my thoughts. Thanks for the idea though.

Yea... I mean, if you have a slow leak the DIC will catch it and let you know that pressure is low, then you can drive to a gas station or home and fill it up. If the leak is so bad that you're caught on the side of the road, you're just going to be deflating the good tire via the bad one.
Don't see how that would work very well. Say you have a flat tire, and a good tire with 30 psi. Hooking up that hose between the two would net you 2 tires with 15 psi at very best, if the leak magically fixed itself.

Years ago in my younger years we use to have a hose that would fit into a spark plug hole and you would start the engine and pump up the tire that way. Anyone else remember these?

Yeah... I too remember those..... Problem was, it filled the tire with an explosive mix of fuel and air. If things went BOOM, you had a much bigger problem than a flat tire........

I've used them. They actually pull fresh air in though the fitting that connects to the spark plug hole and then that closes when it air gets pushed out to the hose. This reduces the amount of air/fuel drawn into the cylinder and when all is said and done it's just air going in to the tire.

You're showing your age Bill. And "YES" I do remember (I think it was a JC Whitney item) what you're talking about. I never did think well of pumping gasoline fumes into a tire though. Then again I've heard the same concerns from using the aerosol "Fix a flat" cans too.
