Default Sun Load Sensor

I was cleaning the inside of the windshield and knocked the little dome off the sun load sensor. I thought it would just snap back on, but it doesn't. I attempted to glue it back on. Anyone replace this sensor? Does it come out with the grill?

Thanks for any help.

Looks like the sensor is one piece. Did you knock the top off? It looks like its easy enough to replace it. Unclip the grill cover and its a straight swap

Thanks Dee, yes it seems a little brittle. I guess the Georgia sun has done a job on it. Looks easier than I thought. I ordered a new one from Gene Culley this morning. The way the weather has been this winter, I beleive I'm safe for another couple of months.

Thanks again for your response.

My parts manual shows the Sun Sensor is on the right side of the defroster vent and not to the left as shown.

He's right: the widget in the picture posted is the light sensor for the Twilight Sentinel. The sun-load sensor is the black dome-shaped thing on the passenger side.
