I've got this nagging problem with my radio bezel. My old one did this; and so does the new one. I've also seen this phenomenon on other peoples' C5's.
What happens is that the upper-right corner pulls away from the dashboard, and results in this horrible gap.
I made mine a little better but I did it a while ago so forgive me if I forget and get the details wrong. Take off the bezel. Then you will see a fastener behind that upper right corner of the bezel that holds the mating corner of the dash pad. Loosen it, push the dash pad to the left hard while retightening the fastener. It closed the gap a decent amount on my car so that mine looks better than most but still not great. I guess if you have a significant front to rear gap, you could also try putting a spacer behind this fastener to move the pad out closer to the bezel, but I didn't have that kind of gap.
The best solution is to take the car to the race track and pound the crap out of it spanking other cars until you forget about the bezel gap. Works for me.
There is a fitment pin on the right side of the bezel about where the bar between the radio and climate control is. You very likely do not have it set properly in the console. It is very easy to misalign and the result is as you see. Try to readjust it.

wrap electrical tape around the clip on the radio bezel. You must remove the bezel to do this. Wrap it nice and tight about 15 wraps around. It will make the it fit nice and tight. Guy did a write up on Z06vette worked great!!!
I do remember those pins you are speaking of, and I know that one of mine is broken off. I don't recall WHICH side that pin is on, but evidently I was not as careful as I should have been.
I will try each of those suggestions... and see where it leaves me. Thanks again!
I have exactly the same problem Jason. This pic makes it look worse than it is but you get the idea. My locating pin is in the hole but doesn't hold it tight
I've had my console in and out of the car many times. It sits fine when I instal it and theres no gap. As soon as I tighten down the nuts it pulls away.
I thought about fitting a leather trim like the one I have around the AH panel but I never got around to it. Maybe one of these days. I'll try the tape trick next time I have it out.
I would ask in the audio section, I've seen it asked by some after installed a DD bezel. I think I read some were actually glueing a small plastic tab on the underside of the bezel to hold it in.
