16 - with a Corvette? Good luck, you're gonna need it. At 16 years old the only thing I wanted to do was go fast and burn rubber. That car will cost you your drivers license if not careful. The bad news is - at age 16, "caution" is usually not in the vocabulary.
I wish you all the best and a LOT of luck, but 16 is too young for a Vette. That's a very bad car to start out with IMO.
Congrats on the sweet ride.
Be careful, these cars can bring out the worst in you. This is a pic of a friend on mine, he was 18 and showing off at a party. Leave traction control on.
That was over $21,000 in damage to a new ZO6. The driver is in the red shirt. It was his dad's Vette.
That is a very good looking car! Congradulations! You will now have a bunch of jelious [so called] friends who will encourage you to do stupid things in the car! DO NOT DO THEM!!!I have been driving a Vette since I was 19 and am now 62 yrs old. I still drag race but only on a drag strip. You would be well advised to do the same an not listen to people who will try to get you to dumb stuff in your car. Remember, your the one with the Vette, not them, so act responsably. I don't want to read about your death in the forum.
old guy with good advice Dave
Words to live by!
I'm actually 15, and still need to take that darn driver's license test. You take care of that car man, don't get into trouble ya hear?
Oh, and definetly don't take it to school. A bunch of haters will vandalize it, thinking you're some snobby rich kid. I know, it happened to my teacher
Congrats!!! I don't even like leaving mine in my driveway. My first car had a nice paint job, it got keyed with in a month of driving it to school. But you could just try the old trick of parking it to a nicer car.
Congrats on the sweet ride.

holy sh*t thats horrible , looks like a fellow vette driver came to check it out, or is that your vette in the backround?
My first car was a 1974 Toyota Celica................and I paid for it.
You have a ticket to the fast lane,...............remember to be conservative and go with inner voice to play it cool...........it will be tough. Remember that you will get laid whether your can smoke the tires 100 feet or beat that WRX...............low key is the way to go.
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!! Be careful with it. I know at times it will be hard not to do something dumb but let your good sense get you through it. The people that try to get you to do bad things, are not friends.
