My batt. was dead for about 6months,when I replaced the batt. the driver side blows cold air but the pass. side blows hot air. I checked the codes on the dash it shows 3 codes on HVAC, when I clear the code the pass. side will blow cold for about 3 sec. then it will blow hot again.

You may just have to recharge your AC. When your battery goes dead it can drop the charge. That happened to mine when it was in the shop for a month getting the forged motor built and SC installed.

Tha battery has nothing to do with the A/C Charge...... It must have been a coincidence that the chrge went low while the battery was dead.

It seems to me that there is a calabratin process for the HVAC system - although I am not an expert I believe it has something to do with making sure the doors that direct the airflow are where the computer thinks they are....

I think this post talks about it - http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...actuators.html

Yes do a SEARCH on your problem. there is info about your problem, i had the same problem but it was the drivers side that blew hot and cold on the pass. side. it has something to do with the actuator. The gears have to be aligned perfectly to correct it. I just had someone attach and reattach the neg. side of the battery, and started and restarted the vette until it worked properly. It worked for me . good luck. IF you post this also on the correct General forum u will get a much better and detailed responce.
