Corvette up keep ???
my c5 is a DD and i find myself constantly trying different products all the time.
it's black first of all,and we all know what kind of chore that is to keep it looking good.
whats the best tire care, what do you use on your seats, how do you clean your top if you have a (convertible), what wax do you use?
i think you guys and gals know what im talking about, that never ending battle to have a real good looking CORVETTE

I have a 3 to 4 month routine for hand waxing. First, I use a dishwashing liquid to remove old wax. Next, clay bar. Then Meguiar's Cleaner wax, then Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax. After an hour of that waxing, I use Nanowax spray over the Gold Class. Washings in between I use a wash formula with a wax additive, then Nanowax. ALWAYS use a microfiber towel for waxing.
Many use a rotary buffer, but I haven't been that brave yet.
I love cleaning my Vette. I find it very relaxing especially with several Sierra Nevadas!
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I bought a cheap model last year at Sears, new for $50 after my top installer did me a "favor" by wiping my dirty car down with detail spray. Of course, it scratched the heck out of my paint! As a last result I bought my buffer. It's easily become the best car detailing product I've ever purchased and made short work of those fine scratches.
Once every few months I clay the car (if needed), apply Meguair's Paint Cleaner (does a great job removing swirls!) and then wax. The buffer safely removes the fine swirls and scratches that I try so hard to avoid, but still develop anyway.
I've been using Black Magic wax with good results. It's cheap, lasts a long time and leaves a great shine. It's kind of a pain to take off by hand, but my buffer makes short work of it.

For the seats I have tried many differnet products and I am stuck on Zaino Z10 Leather in a bottle. Its by far the best product I have used on my leather seats and it leaves a great leather smell in the car too. Highly recommend it.
For the exterior I use the same thing as the interior. Water spray bottle, and Micro fiber towel for in between waxes.
Tire Care - I use Zaino Z16. It is NOT oily at all, it does not attract or hold dust or dirt at all. It is not really a high gloss look, but it gives the tire a very clean semi gloss look. More of a natural gloss but not like its wet like the oily products out there. One big thing I like about it is that it actually "dries" on the tire and it does not hold the dirt in the tire like the other oily products. VERY easy to clean weekly !
For polishing my car I use Zaino again. Z2 or Z5, then Z-CS, then Z8. I also use the Z8 for in between waxes just to dust off the car.
My wife opened the garage door a few months ago right after I cleaned the outside of the door with a hose. Some water spilled on the back of my car. My wife grabbed a micro fiber towel to dry it off. Her first comment to me was "Is that what Zaino does to your car ???". She was absolutely floored at how smooth the paint was. She said its smoother than anything car paint she has ever felt before. I told her if she would let me, i'd polish her smooth like that too

I guess I just got hooked on the Zaino products. I just can't find anything I like better (not for lack of trying others).
I use Adam's #1 and #2 Metal polish on my polished CCW wheels. They do an amazing job !

For years I used the Liquid Glass (before I got my vette). I just found it a work out to remove it. Thats one of the first things I noticed with Zaino. It comes off so easily... I used Liquid Glass on my 01 red R/T Dakota and loved it. After reading on here about so many guys commenting on Zaino I decided to give it a try. My wife (not a car person) immediately noticed the red in my truck was brighter. I noticed it also but was suprised she noticed it too.
