Default Remove fuel rail covers

Thinking about replacing my fuel rail covers and I am curious about how they are held on. My usual method of operation is is to break things first and ask questions later. Thought I would try a different route this time!

They will come right off by simply pulling on them. I grab them on the top and bottom and pull. They are held on by permanent type clips.

There are spring clips that attach the covers to the fuel rails. Just a sharp tug at the bottom of the cover should release it. The cover on the passenger side of the vehicle, has the oil fill running through the cover - remove the cap on the oil fill just as you were going to add oil before removing that cover.

Once you replace your fuel rail covers, whether you paint them yourself or buy some already painted - it helps to wrap the fuel line on the driver's side with blue painter's tape to avoid scratching the new fuel rail cover.

On the driver side do you have to remove that line or can you remove the cover by putting that line thru the slot opening that the driver's side have ???

You do not have to remove the fuel line. Once you get them popped loose, you'll find they are soft pliable plastic, akin to tupperware. You can hold both sides of the slot and bend the cover to open up the slot for added clearance. When I mean bend, I don't mean side to side. You bend one side up and the other side down.
