Where do most people clip the clamps to on their C5s? My clips aren't the biggest and they don't like to bite on that little stub sticking out of the side post terminals. I looked around for some kind of extension or adapter but haven't found anything. My other car has top poet and I attached the quick connect eye terminals to the smaller bolts next to the terminals and wish I could do something similar on my C5.

It's obvious from the past threads on (float maintenance) chargers that people tend to use the terms "battery tender" in the generic sense rather than the DELTRAN "Battery Tender" (Plus or Jr.)

The CTEK is a refined European product with more high tech than the DELTRAN products. Either will work just fine.

I've been using a "Battery Tender Plus" full time on at least one vehicle since '95 and it's never failed. I use it on an OPTIMA, which also has caused debates.

You can change the original ring terminals on your CTEK unit to fit the battery terminals on your car. Or you can find extended battery terminals from any well stocked automotive stereo shop.

I haven't purchased from this vendor, but scroll down through this PDF file and you should find an extension that will work with your particular battery style and allow permanent connection to the battery...

I'm in my third winter with my Black and Decker batter charger. It was around $40. I picked it up at HD or Lowes- I can't remember which. I'm approaching 7 years on my original batter. The B&D has worked great.

I just got one for about $40 or so at Pep Boys. Worked like a charm!

I worried too about forgetting and moving the car with the charger attached so, anytime I have the charger hooked up, I tie a yellow plastic newspaper sleeve on the steering wheel. Instant reminder.

I have the CTEK and it works flawlessly. Fully protects the
expensive electronics in our Vettes. I Highly recommend it! (got mine from Chip!)
