Default Ground Clearance For Ramp

I have a client who has a 2001 stock corvette. I need to raise his garage concrete slab 7". The garage door will not be raised. I will construct a steel ramp inside the garage. In order to get the proper ground clearance under the car I need to know what minimum ramp angle or horizontal distance I need for the 7" difference in slab heights.

Any help or comments will be much appreciated.
Thanks

With a stock 01, Rhino ramps' angle of ascent is barely acceptable, as the C5's front elastomer lip will scrape. I believe the ramp's angle is in the vicintity of 15 degrees. If the owner lowers his car by simply turning bolts (as many of us did), something like 11 degrees is desirable. Low profile Race ramps have a 10.75 degree angle of ascent, so I'd say that 11 degrees is a safe number.

here's a few posts to help you - looks like about 8 degrees or so...

8 degrees would be way overkill for a stock C5. I built ramps that are 10 or 11 degrees and I have no problem driving up them.

This should help too. On my 4 post lift the runways are 3.5 inches high. The ramps are 37 inches long; no rubbing at all and my car is lowered on stock bolts. So, just double it to 6 feet for a 6-7 inch rise.

in my experience; 9 degrees was the greatest rise angle for zero touching.
