i have a 1998 convertible c5 vette that dosent stay runnin once the wheels make a full revolution has any 1 had a problem like this be 4? and ive changed numerous sensors & parts.
Most C5's have been subjected to the numerous recalls GM has done regarding the locking steering column problem. Most of the recalls involved reflashing the computer to make the fuel pump shut down if the car's computer thinks there is a problem with the steering column.
It sounds to me like your car thinks the steering column is locked.
Do a search on locking steering column or related column lock bypass or column lock recall.
You can also have someone on here, who has GM connections, run your VIN to get your cars GM service history.
Post your VIN and ask for your service history in a new thread. You will probably be amazed at how quick someone will help you.
Good Luck in determining your exact problem and finding a quick fix!

Reason: typo
Do you have the service column lock message on your DIC? If so, definitley sounds like you've got the fuel cut off syndrome going on that was programmed in at one of the recalls . Chances are that you could have a "K harness" that was installed during the recall and has failed. If that's the case, once you pull it out, it should fire right up. I went through this with my '00 Vert this summer. We can talk you through the process if these are your symptoms.
hey its just nuts because i can power brake all day long in one spot but da minute that wheel makes one full rotation the engine kills &starts rite back up. can any one tell(show) where the K harness is located?
