As I have 2 kids I'd like to share my Vette with I was wondering if anybody ever tuned a Corvette into a 4 seater.
Do you know if it is possible to make this conversion on a C5 coupe?
That may sound silly but I don't believe I am the only one having this issue.
Thank you for your info

I would like to see that. The four seater idea for Jeep come from the south and its a hit.

Have seen pics of ones that have been turned into what best would be described as a station wagon. I would suppose if you were good enough with frame and body work it could be done.

You are talking about your kids. As interesting as the idea is, I can't see any way to do it and be satisfied about safety. I wouldn't consider it, at least not for carrying children.
In the late 70's my next door neighbor had a C-3 that had been converted to a four seater. It did look a bit funny, but appeared to work fine. If I remember correctly there was a company converting them for owners back then. I think Corvette Fever even had a picture of one once.

You need to purchase a car that was designed to SAFELY transport four people, with seats and seat belts, not consider some cobbled up half-assed compromise.
There are all sorts of things to consider like side impact standards, rollover standards, etc. If you lengthen a C5 that was never intended to accomodate a rear seat, you will be compromising handling and braking characteristics too.
That being said, look at the Cadillac CTS-V, the new Camaro - even the Challenger or new Mustang. You'll not have the handling or overall performance of a Corvette, but you won't be putting your children in harms way either.
