Weight difference by chroming?
If I take an oem speedline Z06 wheel, have the paint stripped and chrome the wheel - how much weight am I adding? Anyone know for sure?

A lot more than you would think. It is the copper layer that adds all the weight. you are looking at around 2 pounds per wheel. no way around it unless you want crappy chrome job.

how is chrome thickness measured? microns? millimeters?
i bet if you scraped all that chrome off it would be less than one pound per wheel but IDK.
