Default CCW guys, How in the heck do you remove the center cap!!

I have a set of CCW 505As that I have removed from my car for polishing. I can't figure out the center cap! I smacked them pretty good with a piece of wood and hammer. Is there a secret I should know before I damage them?

No secret, they are just held in place with an o-ring that keeps it pretty snug. We use a round pvc pipe that fits down into the backside of the cap and a hammer to knock it out. Takes a couple good hits but it will pop out. You won't hurt them.

Best to ASK before trying something new and unknown ! I know I'll inquire here before I enter an unknown zone !!

This technique worked great for me too. No problems. Mike

I used an old screwdriver turned backwards (handle against the cap) and smacked it a few times with a hammer to get the caps off.

I was having the same issue when I was having my sensors installed. thanks to my blackberry I was able to look up CCW's site and call them to ask Later models have the o-ring, earlier models do not. Mine had the o-ring.

Default VIDEO now posted on removing CCW rims

HI Everyone,

Called the CCW people in Florida and basically followed their instructions, which included don't be afraid to use some force to get the center cap off.

Here's the video - hope it helps!
