Default A pillar question

Does the door weather strip seal go over or under the A pillar pad once it is installed. I have looked at interior photos on the internet and found them both ways. Dealer said their parts pictures are unclear. Mine had the passenger side over and the drivers side under. I have the drivers side off to fix a small cut. Thanks

Thank you,

Both the driver and passenger weather strips are now behind the A pillar pads. The problem was, on the drivers side there was a gap between seal and pad. So, I placed a tapered black rubber shim between the dash edge and the pad; this rotated the pad toward the door seal. Everything looks good now and the shim is hidden. Thanks again

seal runs along the outside of the A piller and the inside lip is under the Pillar cover

Peace
