Aw man.......hate it for your Vette! I know my dog hated skunks and was sprayed over 12 times! After trying all of the internet fixes, I studied up on skunk spray. It is a VERY oily compound and tough to remove. The best thing I knew of to remove and disapate oil was dawn dishwashing soap. Remember Exxon Valdez? They used dawn to save a bunch of the wildlife in Alaska by washing with it. When he got sprayed, I would bathe him around 5 times in dawn and then get out the freebreeze. Poor guy hated the hell out of it! LMAO! A vet trip just 3 days later for shots and the vet couldn't smell a thing and started passing that along to the other pet owners. Not sure how this will apply to your Vette but, the Coke thing is worth a shot. I know it is very acidic and you should be careful to make sure it is removed from painted surfaces.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I took it to the car wash today and sprayed out the fender wells really well and the underside as best I could and it doesn't smell near as strong as it did yesterday.
Maybe a dead skunk de-funkifies quicker than a fresh one.

Be careful, don't get tomato Juice or coke on your paint or rim, it will damage the paint. Too much acid from the tomato and Coke. The rims are usually sprayed with a clearcoat and it will peal it off.

There's a spray that you can buy that neutralizes the smell. Not sure what it is. Saw it on an episode of "Mith Busters" on the Discovery Channel.
Don't use coke or tomato juice. It'll damage your paint.
My hunting dog was always tangling with a skunk, needless to say there were times when she smelt like one too. I always bathed her in tomato juice which seemed to counter act the smell.
There is a thread in the archives on the forum relating to this...for the life of me I can't remember the mixing rates....
It works great !!!
I've used this on my dog and it works better than tomato juice. Skunk spray is oily and this mix will cut the oil film. Use a good detergent like Dawn.
I don't remember the mix ratio, but I don't think any of the ingredients will hurt the car so mix it stiff and spray it on.
