You can certainly try it. I personally would leave it alone until you can get a bolt on solution. I don't like the flow master sound on a vette, but that's my opinion. If you want a deeper sound that flows good, you should try to find a TI Z06 exhaust.
BTW, Congratulations on your car. You've earned it!
I've been following some of your other threads and I'm sorry for the way that you where treated.
Good luck, BE SAFE and have fun
Thanks for the positive, i know how some people are, may have been a little jealousy. I'll have to concentrate more on my grammar to get a little respect around here....lol
I've found that there are more positive people on here than negative, so i'm definately here to stay.
I just thought it was an interesting subject, didn't want an argument out of it.
I agree the stock system is FAR TOO muffled. I went with the B&B Bullets since they have no mufflers at all. However I do understand you are on a budget. How much modifcation will they require to fit the Corvette?
You might want to consider some cut outs. From some of you other threads it sounds like you're pretty handy with tools. You can open them up when you want,,and go stealth other times!! Electric ones are a lot of fun. You cad do a search and find several threads on the topic. There was a recent thread about a guy that did a $50 dollar exhaust,,had to add an X pipe so the total went up a little,,but still cheap ,and it sounded pretty good when he was done. Some viable options to consider!! keep us posted on your decision!

I can do them at no cost at all. Probably take an hour at the most, getting everything to fit right takes the most time. i can always take it back off. Thanks for the input guys.
I was thinking about taking the H-pipe off and cutting it apart so that its the same as the x-pipe.
Does it make that much of a difference in sound? Is it worth the work is what I'm asking.

I'll post pics of it after I'm done. The flowmasters have an inlet on one side and outlet on the other. I'll have to cut a hole on the side next to the outlet, blocking off the original and bend a pipe so that it runs back towards the original outlet. Its complicated but no biggie. My dad has a lot of equipment at his garage.
My buddy has them on his 88 Vette. They sound great, but it also has the LT1 which has a different firing order than the LS1, thus a different sound. The LS1 to me sounds more exotic while the LT1 sounds more like the traditional "muscle car".
I have flowmasters, it came with the car when I bought it. Been happy with the way it sounds. Although it's time for me to replace them I'm going with Granatelli's.

I have the Granatellis myself. They get better with age!
The car you hear doing a burnout has GHL's, with H/C. If you want more clips I have a bunch, including a few with stock exhaust manifolds. I personally wouldn't waste your time with the flows.
I got them when they first came out on Fleabay. However, it was called NXT exhaust(I think). It was the exact same thing. At the trime it was $450 shipped. It has been creeping up though to about $550.

I have flows and dont like em much, I wouldn't hack up your exhaust for em unless you have the skills to do it properly. If I could afford some PRTs from B&B I would jut ship you mine. Anyone want to buy me some PRTs so I can give him my flows?
My car came with Flowmasters and I still love 'em. Nice low-end rumble at idle, great moderate rpm sound and screaming banshee at high end. Subtle but great sounding. No booming inside or bad rumble.
Had a co-worker meet me with his Vette with some fancy, huge-tipped system....borla's maybe, not sure, maybe not, but mine were slightly louder and he liked the sound better when we started them up.
So, many overlook Flowmasters here, but I like mine.
