I bought a 2001 C5 . . .
The HUD is awesome! True, polarized sunglasses hamper the view and when the sun is overhead or directly behind, like in the 5pm sun we have here in MA, it goes out, but otherwise, that HUD is the *****.
Now, the engine and how it drives, WOW, you guys all know and I wonder what sick f**ks you all are that have Z06's and even more power, are you mad? That 350-HP is all I'll be needing and boy is it all there. Here is the good part and a question for you, it has a K&N Filter tucked behind the front facia along with a nice smooth intake tube and other wires and tubes, THEN, it has a Borla Cat-Back exhaust. What might this do for me? More HP of course, but is the Borla CB-exhaust much louder than stock? I'm sure I could get used to it as there was a decent rumble when going about 35 in the 1100-1300 range but was not at all obtrusive at any other RPM or when on the highway but I wonder.
Other than that, my deposit is down, just need to sign the loan papers and pick it up sometime either this Friday or on Monday, boy, I'm psyched as you can tell. 32,520 miles or thereabouts. The car has Falken tires on it and are very new, other than that, I can't think of anything else, but how are these tires?
. The Borlas are a personal taste type of thing, had those and went to Z06 after about 6 months. Daily driver and it was just to much. Enjoy the ride.

Yes, the exhaust was not too bad, nice and quiet at idle and not too racous when underway, but boy oh boy, when I got into the throttle, it sure moved. Here is the pic I took with the camera;

I'm in Methuen, Peabody is not too far. I bought the car at Veracka Motors in Brockton.
At least the Falken's have great tread on them and one can just barely see the tread in the pic.
My buddy who has a 1994/C4, had seen the 2002 6-Speed on the showroom floor with 8,000 miles on it and might be buying it and trading his C4 for it. He took a drive in mine and besides knowing it had the Borla system in the back, thought it had something else and sure enough, the K&N was in the front under the hood.

I wonder, is it easy to change the oil on the car?, that is, do I need ramps, or a lift, or a pit?
Higher wattage bulbs are the quickest way to boost night-vision, correct?
Imkindafd-That C6 sold this past weekend, what a nice 05 in Torch/Black that car was/is. I would love to meet up someday. I'm only beginning the reading on here, but did just start with the "pinned" topic at the top of the list, incredible site this sure is.

and be careful not to catch the "mod" bug...because once you do it never stops...
