Default Temporary Spare

I'm a new member and want to thank everyone for all the great information found on this forum! I recently purchased my stock 97 C5 and have read most of the debates on run-flats verses conventional tires. I won't say which direction I'm heading, but I want to carry a compact spare. My plan is to take a 4" x 17" aluminum 04-06 GTO spare wheel and re-machine the mounting holes from the Aussie 120mm bolt center to the correct 120.65mm (4 3/4"). I then will mount a T13590D17 temporary tire which will provide an o.d. of 26.57". The stock rear tires on my C5 are P27540R18 (26.66" o.d.) and the fronts are P24545R17 (25.68" o.d.). The spare diameter will match up well with the rears, but will I have any issues if I have to run the spare on the front as it will be 7/8" larger than the other stock front tire?

You my be able to get away with it if you turn the TC off, if you ever have to use it. But don't quote me on that.

Is the traction control affected by front wheel speed? When (if) I run the larger size spare on the front, will the ABS get confused with the different rotational speed of the 2 front tires?
