The filters that came with my Z got dirty. Instead of replacing them, i think i'll revert them back too a stock intake I found for $75. I personally don't think the questionable increase in HP is worth the lower filtration.
What does everyone else think/running? I got some sort of dual cone intake going.
Unless you open up either the fog light covers or the lower radiator cover, your stock air box will lose 10 RWHP once the engine bay is heat-soaked from slow and stop&go vehicular movement. Check my sig for the power increase I gained from just an intake and cat-back. All those extra ponies are retained by my CAI setup which funnels cold air at the air filter.
Regarding filtering ability, After many years of running the Halltech, I have yet to see any dirt in my throttle body, air bridge, or inside the filter. That Remay filter does an excellent job at keeping things clean.
