Default Hood Liner

Just completed with the hood liner. It not a nice as Paula's work, but will have to do for now. My intentions, sometime down the road, is to purchase one from her. I did this all free hand using Testor's Model paint and two different brushes. I started Friday night and completed the project last night. I am still not completely satified, but will ave to do for know. Another project completed. Next is brake calipers and some addtional bling for the motor compartment. I will post pics as soon and photobucket completes working on their site.

The DIY mods are sometimes the best. Saves you money and you get the satisfaction of a job well done.

Not to hijack but have you guys noticed rub marks on the hood liner from maybe the air bridge ,and I have one from something in the area of the wiper blades. These are getting worse ,I don't know if maybe my liner is hanging low or something.

I think it looks great! There is just something about a diy mod that puts a smile on your face, maybe its the thickness left in the wallet.

Mine may have rubbed just a little with the stock air bridge, and certainly with some aftermarket ones it can, but I have never noticed anything around the wiper

Yeah, it is best to remove it and let it fully dry before putting it back on the car.

Looks great. I took mine to a local art shop here in Pittsburgh and had it done. They sprayed the entire liner with a fresh coat of black and then airbrushed the logo. They charged me $35 and they had it for 2 days. I was afraid to try it myself.
