It's been pretty enough in Tennessee to get the convertible out but not warm enough for top down driving:
In less than a month we will start having some 70 degree south wind weather and the top will come down!
I am thinking about trying out a windscreen, especially for the wife- is there any windscreens that are better than others?
Is reliability and installation an issue?
What vendor sells the best?
Thanks!

Vette Net

Installs in minutes

No reliability issues that I am aware of...

Heated seats are one of the best mods I have done.
You have to remove the screens you are asking about to raise the top, a royal pia if you ask me.

You are both correct, the windscreen needs to be removed to put the top up.

Takes about 30 seconds

Is there one that dose not need to be removed? I would love to get my hands on one like that...

Peace

As a verte owner, my gut reaction is that if you need a vette nette, why not just buy a coupe and remove the roof? Doesn't that accomplish basically the same thing?

If you install a vette nette, can you close the top over it or does it have to be removed? If it needs to be removed, than it takes some prescious trunk space. (I don't have much room besides my golf clubs!)

I know it can get windy, however I just grab a hat. I think the heated seats would be a better option as well!

I'm not picking on you, but that's a huge deal.
Be realistic. How often are you out and about and you want to raise/lower the top.
I can't believe after all of this time that it has not been modified to work regardless of the top being up or down.

No issue here, I don't make them, but we do sell a ton of them...

t-boy58,

I got a used one for sale if you're interested. It's a GM black mesh. I got with the 'vert I had, and then traded the 'vert in. I don't need it anymore. I did use it on occasion, mostly on longer trips.

On a related point, I saw a guy driving a Porsche Boxter the other day. He had the top down, windows up and a windscreen. My question...What's the point?!

I know Boxters don't have a removable top option like the Corvette Coupe, but I would think anyone who doesn't enjoy the wind in their hair (face, neck, arms, etc.) should go with a coupe as it's more functional and would probably have similar results compared to a verte with a vette nette.

I have the vette net and when I do use it it is nothing to put on or take off. I put wine corks in the tubes to raise it a bit. It lies flat in the trunk so it really is not in the way. As far as getting a coupe....well personally I love the look of a vert top up...or down...
