beep when shifting from park to reverse

beep when shifting from park to reverse
This just started yesterday. When shifting into reverse, I hear a beep. NOthing shows on the DIC. It's a 2000 automatic. What could be the cause? Any ideas?

Well, if that's the answer, you better listen well and be ready to run cause it only beeps once and it's fairly quiet. I was convinced my cell phone battery was dying but then I put two and two together and it's the car, not the phone.
