Default Programing TPMS ?

I have a 1997. I'm getting the TPMS Failure warning on the DIC and the left front tire is not displaying a pressure. I recently purchased the car, so I have no idea how old the sensors are. I ran the fault codes in the DIC and only got one current fault, the C2100 Left front sensor fault. I went into the TPMS training function and was able to get a horn prompt from all 4 sensors. The left front still does not display a pressure. I assume this verifies that the battery is bad in the left front sensor, but my question is why I received a horn prompt on that sensor?

After you re-trained the TPMS, did you drive the car? The old style sensors do not read unless the car has been in motion. As you're driving, does it still not read?

You do need to be moving in order for the TPS to register a pressure. If it still doesn't work after a drive, then chances are the sensor needs replacement.

I also posted it in you other thread but these guys are right. If you need a rebuilt set with new batteries let me know. Gen I sensors are only supposed to last ~7 years so you are way above that.

Yes, I did drive the car after training and no LF pressure. I guess I need new batteries. Will the people that offer a rebuild service on the sensors sell you 4 sensors with a core fee and then send you a refund for the returned sensors?
