What don't you people understand about MGW changing the price. It was discussed here on the forum a week or so ago. I bought one of the old shifters for $150. Take the time to do a little research before shooting your mouth off.

Simple. I don't live here on this site day in and day out. When I do visit I don't have time to go through several hundred threads.
I am jumping in here without reading all the posts, since I do not own one of their shifters. However, I can tell you that I myself read a long and very detailed thread a few weeks ago on this subject. MGW had worked a great deal to make certain improvements, some dealing with noise and ease of shifting. They made it quite plain that the price would go up, but that there was a good supply of the original style. The offered to all customers to pick the style and price they wanted, as long as the old ones were available. In certain cases, (I believe), old ones could be exchanged. Apparently at this time they have run out. Also from first hand experience, I can confirm the ads through national pubs take 90 days generally, and I was once trapped in a similar predicament.
In conclusion, though I do not have an MGW, their reputation is first rate on the forum, and they handled the price as fairly as could be expected.
I would not hesitate to pay the new price on the new unit. I assure you that that unit was not advertised at the lower price. It is a shame that the MGW people did not do a MUCH better job explaining, especially given the effort they made.
Hope this helps, and feel free to look up the thread from a few weeks ago.
Good luck, hope I am not repeating something already said, but this is a comprehensive description of what happened.
I tried the C6 zo6 shifter in my 98 vert and was not happy with it, still to rubbery feeling. Mgw is the way to go. I bought one of the last 199.00 shifters before the price increase. I am finally happy with the way the car shifts
I have had the MGW shifter in my 04 Coupe for more than a year. When I was searching for threads of this shifter, before purchase, members stated it was under priced. Function and Quality top notch. That sold me.
My experience= Quality 10
Function 10
Customer Service 10
After a year, I would buy MGW again. Old Price or New.
Thanks George

I've had mine also for a year, best mod I've done.
Has anyone tried the new version of the mti six shooter?
$194.
Don't know about the new version but I have had the old version in my car for awhile now and like it much more than I did the stock, cut-down stock, Hurst and BPP. I am tempted to buy the new MGW and do another comparo just because I need to do something and I'm running out of projects . I did have a little bit of rattle when I installed this and all but eliminated it with a piece of rubber mounted to the stalk below the boot (I had to do this with every aftermarket shifter). It has been by far the best shifter that's been in my car.
