Around $80 a month with Geico and I'm 24. Never had an accident or speeding ticket (knock on wood). This is full coverage. You do know that insurance would be cheaper if the car was paid for and you only had liability, correct? I doubt anybody only has liability though, especially on a Vette.

It is cheaper if you are a safe driver, have other cars insured with them (I do) and there is also a difference in the way you pay. For instance mine would be like $74 a month if I had it deducted from my account automaticly. It is cheaper when you pay a large lump sum too. Like for instance paying $80 a month comes out to $480 every six months. If you pay the whole six months all at once they may say $430. Once a year the may say $850. See what I mean?

My wife's '06 Altima costs more to insure than my Vette. I think hers is like $120 a month. My truck, a '95 ex cab Z-71 is like $45 a month Liability. All in all we pay about $250 a month for all three vehicles. $500 deductable on the two full coverage cars- the Vette and the Altima.

Hope this helps

If it is your daily driver then not bad rates. If you are adding mods to car and have very casual use you may want to ask if the policy on total loss is at stated value, otherwise they will depreciate the loss alot.

When I was researching C5 insurance costs about a year or two ago I remember it being just about as much as I am currently paying for my 2002 Nissan Maxima. I pay $100 a month to insure the Maxima and I'm now 24, no accidents or points and I've been with State Farm for over 8 years. I'm thinking of switching my insurance co. though because the office of people I had an insurance relationship with all those years closed down and I don't like the new people...plus I think I should be paying less.

I just checked AAA, it looks like they have amazing rates...

I put in our current policy with no vette and it's cheaper, and when I add the vette as a 4th car it only goes up by like $300. It looks like we may be switching insurance company soon...

I'd stick with your own research...posting up here there are too many variables... zip code, different age, driving record...unless EVERYONE who is posting here is your age.
Sounds like you got some decent rates from AAA.

I know. I was just curious what others around my age are paying. I just don't like paying over $100 a month for a car that I'm only going to drive on the weekend, in a very safe manner.

I don't know maybe these people are only insuring it for 6 months not 12. I put it in storage for 3 or 4 months just fire and thift. My house and a 06 Impala ss, And a 03 z71 Silverado thru State farm for over 30 years. So thanks for telling me that i'm going to check and see you never know tell you try.

Insurance is ridiculously location and coverage specific. You should post this in your region to get a better idea but your best bet is to shop around.

FWIW, I am 24 and pay about $380/6 mos for full coverage. I just switched counties and my rate dropped by 25%. That is just from one county to another. You can imagine the differences from state to state.

My fiancee and I have 3 cars insured for a grand total of about $800/6 mos. When we turn 25 the agent said our rate will drop about $100/6 mos, or 12.5%. We both have spotless records. We insure through Costco (Ameriprise) which has the best customer service of any service I have ever used (I am not exaggerating), and has been the cheapest of the few places I have quoted.

Oh and the Corvette is a cheap car to insure. Our other cars (Mazda Protege, Ford Explorer) would be more expensive than the Vette with equivalent coverage. The Corvette does not fit the profile of a high-risk car. Go ahead and quote a Vette against an Evo... should be amusing.

I think folks should mention state because that will cause the rates to vary greatly.

Are you using your parents policy and just paying for it yourself?
