Reading various threads here and I thought I saw something about a catch or release to open the glove box more than a couple inches. Didn't pay much attention because mine isn't a C5. A friend has his C5 on the road already and I asked him today to show me the "secret" and he thought I was nuts - said they all just open a couple inches. I tried the "search" but couldn't find it.
Somebody here will say "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you" Go ahead, at least I'll die with my curiosity satisfied! Or was I thinking I read something I didn't?
I assume you mean the console.
I can't believe the amount of questions related to this?
It's really pretty simple.
A shot of wd-40 can help.
It's just a hinge, maybe a funky one, but just a hinge.
Thank you! My curiosity is answered, and I will e-mail him the link. (Told him if he spent some time on these forums there's no end to what he'd learn! )
Glad I found this post. Figured the funky hinge on my '99 coupe was just the design. After a couple shots of WD-40, much easier. I have a padded Mid-America cover on it which causes some resistance, but after the WD-40, much better.
