Trust me, you could eat off of the body and undercarriage. I never drive it in the rain and clean it with a duster and detail spray every time I drive it.
I've never let anyone else drive my car nor have I ever washed it.
It's been sleeping in the garage ever since I got it home when I purchased it in Oct. '08, I've managed a few adds but this snow we're having today just adds to my Corvette FEVER !
Haven't had my car long enough to wash it but will probably do it myself. Am having someone else detail it next week, though. Don't think I'd mind friends driving it. Having an A/T am surprised at its driveability - not the hairy beast I would think. Putting the pedal to the metal is another story. If it had a stick or "Lingenfelter" on the side, others driving it ..... hmmmmmn.

NEVER!
That's setting yourself for all kinds of liability issues.
If someone wants to drive a Vette, tell them to go buy a Vette.
It's good for the economy.
There's been a few that have asked to drive it and others who in jest have offered to modify it for me... I just tell them, hand me $60,000... in cash, then they can do what they want.
I have let the wife drive it several times,, But I do the washing!! As for others driving,,depends on how well I know them and their driving/stick shift skill level !!
