ok so it is not yet spring here in NY, but damn I miss my car. So the other day I started it up to warm it up and get oil through it, you know. Now it was going no where cause it is on stands with no wheels on it (painting them) so I was just teasing my self looking forward to spring. Then a random thought popped in my head, that I wanted to be able to make my turbos whistle like you were whistling at a pritty girl. You know (not sure how to spell it exactly) that wistle. Anyway I thought it would be awesome if when I see a girl worth a whistle I wouldnt have to, instead I could use my car to do it while I was driving by. So i sat in my car for a good 30 minutes trying to make it work. I got the first half of the whistle down fairly good, the second is alot tougher. It can be done, atleast I feel I did it once but it is a tricky manipulation of the throttle and it is not easy. Anyway just though I would share atleast maybe one nice benefit to the sts kit.
Well I've seen the video of the Formula 1 playing "We are the Champions" and now your telling me your C5 can whistle at pretty girls. You've got to get a video of that, and there better be a pretty girl on the sidewalk when you go by.
"You know how to whistle don't you.....? You put your lips together, and blow."

Ummmm, yeah. I have a 1997 Toyota Previa that has a supercharger. I've heard some mechanics refer to the Previa as a whistler. Originally, I thought that the puny supercharger was whistling, but I heard that it might be some sort of exhaust leak.
Anyway, I was helping my nephew move his weight machine today with the van and the back door was open. I never realized how loud it whistles until I had the door open. As we were driving, there were a couple of girls walking and I remembered reading this thread earlier in the morning....so I hit the throttle twice and it actually sounded like the van was whistling at them. My nephew and I were cracking up.
