My right rear axle has been rubbing against my hard line brake tube. You guessed it 75 mph and no brakes I have 16000 miles on the car and a hole in my brake line. Does any one know of a place to get it? pre bent, dealership? may be something to check out on your cars. any help would be really cool

I think the only place to get one pre-bent is if you take it off another C5.. try corvette salvage yard

Are you running stock wheel and tire size? That seems kind of weird to be happening. Something must be amiss somewhere for the tire to rub a hole in the brake line.
Yeah that happened to me as well on the drivers side. I also slowly lost all my brakes but I had just enough to turn around and go home. If I had been on the track I would have been in trouble.
I noticed that at high speed my cv shaft boots actually grow just like a drag tire and when they do they can grab anything thats in that area.
When you order the brake line GM part #(12547207 3/16 brake line) it comes in as a roll of tubing with no ends so you will need to reuse the ends and use a flare tool to open up the ends. And you also will have to bend them yourself.
Yeah I also thought this was BS but what can you do.
Oh also the ends are not the common flare type like I was use to they are a little different. The factory flared them out and then back in. Looks like a little shower head with one hole in it.

All brake lines are double flared so you need special dies to make them up, but they are common. Any good garage should be able to fix that for you.
