Default Help!!!!

Ok so I'm with De Vette doing my brake upgrade. We are having a serious situation with the banjo bolts for the brake hose inlets. On both of the new front calipers the threading completely peeled off and stuck in the threads of the bolts. Both were done by hand and I know they weren't cross threaded. What would cause this? Any help would be appreciated.

too much torque! How many times did it happen? it is a one in a million shot to get a batch of "bad bolts" so if it happened more than once, my opinion is you are stronger than you think. I know they should only be torqued to like 25 inch pounds or something rediculously low like that, which can easily be over torqued by hand. are they brass?

edit : wait after reading it again the threads from the calipers pulled out? if thats true.....dam dude you got me. That just plain and simple sucks.

If the bolts were not crossed threaded when you put them in sounds like you got two calipers that the threads where not cut right to begin with and the bolt pulled them out. rare but anything is posible.
