Default Borla Straight Pipes

being that their obviously straight pipes..

are there any kind of hp/tq Gains or Losses..

how do they sound..?

if i wanted to do straight pipe coodnt i just go to a muffler shop and have them cut the muffler out and replace it with piping instead of spending $400 for the borla straight pipes

On corvettes straight pipes make the car sound like its broken or has a bad exhaust leak. The exhaust should be chambered for a really nice sound. GHL Bullets is what you want.

Straight pipes MIGHT not sound too bad if you add an X-pipe!! I've run straight pipes ,,,not all that great with the H-pipe,,I'm getting an X-pipe!!

Go on youtube and search for ZexZo6 , I have 2 videos on there. I had Ecklers longtube headers, high flow cats, and the borla straight pipes; along with a really big cam though - the sound will be different from a car with the stock cam.

If you want something loud and mean get cutouts and have the best of both worlds.

I agree with this. I had straightpipes on with the stock H-pipe and it sounded terrible idling and even cruising down the road. The only time straight pipes sound good is WOT. Get the chambered pipe like the bullets. You will be glad you did.

This is also a very good idea if you want to just cruise without the loud exhaust ALL THE TIME

GHL is prolly the best way to go. One of my friends had straight pipes and the sound is okay for a while until you get tired of it

I have cutouts and I can go from whisper quiet to unbearable in about 3 seconds.

I have AR headers,hi-flow cats, and a x-pipe with straight pipes and love the sound but I do believe the x-pipe helps tune the sound.

I also think cutouts would be a good option.

I had GHL Bullets and took them off and put on Straight pipes.

Loud is an UNDERSTATEMENT.

Now I seldom drive my car on the street any more it is a track day car. HP increase was 7 rwhp and 5 rwtq or current tune. But that was two years ago.

I do like the GHL Bullets very much and would not hesitate to put them back on again.
