Default Borla or Bassani x-pipe?

I have Borla Stingers and was wondering what your opinions are on the best x-pipe. I think I read in Vette magazine that the Bassani was better, and it kinda looks like it is too. Thanks guys.

My vote would be for either the Bassani or the Dynamax.

I have been told that only GHL and Magnaflow offer a "true" x-pipe. Anybody else care to chime in?

I'd go with the Bassani. Had one on mine and was a high quality item.

Just wondering, do all after market H pipes have standard fit?
Meaning will they work with any brand exhaust??

Bassani is a true X-pipe, not just a merge. I have their dual X-pipe off-road setup on my 02 Z06 with Stingers. Normally a person would buy the rear X-pipe, cut the exhaust rear of the cats and clamp the new pipe in. Well, Bassani has a front X-pipe as well that hooks up to the exhaust manifolds and replaces the cats. It then attaches to the Bassani rear X-pipe and you now have a one-piece, catless, dual X-pipe offroad exhaust.

If I go with Bassani, how will I know which x-pipe I'm getting? Will it tell me cat-back or not? Maybe off-road only? I know they sell hi flow cats as well, are these worth getting. Does having two x-pipes really add that much extra horsepower to the car. I thought the x-pipe only added 5-10 hp anyway. Thanks for all the replies guys.

Not a California expert,,but I'm pretty certain they are 50 state legal,,you are not messing with the factory emissions equipment! If anything,,they run a tiny bit better with the X,,and are perfectly compatible with the factory tune in your computer!! They are just install and GO!! A few good drives and any slight difference is compensated for. The stock ECM "adjusts to your driving routine. Mine had a temporary HP/TQ/performance gain when they used my car in a Dyno display and did 13 WOT dyno pulls over the course of a day at the Mid-West nationals last year.

I would get the off road only if you dont have state inspections. But then even so because we have them here in TX and there are car guys all over the city thas willing to pass you if you just let them drive your ride.
